The story of new age Kaliyans
Krishna's childhood was full of fun and frolic. He was dark and handsome. Krishna had many friends and he went playing with them in the village. He was the leader of the group. He loved to play tricks on people but never with a bad intention. But everybody still loved him.Krishna became a cowherd. He liked cows and the green fields in which they grazed.
All the cowherds were his friends and every morning they use to take out the cattle to the jungle for grazing. Krishna and all his friends use to play in the jungle. Krishna would play his flute sitting on a branch of tree or on a big rock. The cows and even the wild animals got addicted to the sweet music of Krishna's flute. One fine day suddenly a snake by the name of Kaliyan came to live in the river Yamuna, the only source of safe drinking water for the cows and the cowherds.
Kaliyan was a poisonous snake and soon the whole river became poisonous. All the fish in the river died and other water animals including the crocodiles left the river. There was hue and cry everywhere. Krishna decided to teach the wicked Kaliyan a lesson. Krishna went to the river looking for Kaliyan and found that Kaliyan lived in the deepest part of the river. Krishna jumped into the river. Kaliyan got angry at the very sight of Krishna and immediately pounced to kill Krishna.
In a flash Krishna got hold of Kaliyan's head and stood on it. Kaliyan tried to shake off Krishna but Krishna stayed on his head. Kaliyan then dived deep into the river, trying to drown Krishna but Krishna could remain without breath as long as he wanted. Kaliyan was forced to come up for a breath of air. Krishna began kicking Kaliyan left and right on his head.
A big crowd gathered on the banks of Yamuna. Soon Kaliyan was badly injured and also began losing strength. Kaliyan started vomiting poison and Krishna kept stamping his head until all the poison came out. Kaliyan gave up the struggle and begged Krishna to spare his life. Krishna ordered Kaliyan to immediately leave the river and not to come back again. Kaliyan bowed his head and quietly left the Yamuna
Retold above is a well known story in the life of Lord Krishna.
The latter part of the story is given below:
· After so many centuries, Kaliyan returned. This time more ferocious and more venomous but unnoticed as they came in the figure and attire of ordinary human beings. In the place of one Kaliyan, millions had come up and their weapon was much lethal but it acted very slowly on the victim and could keep the victims unaware of the dangers until the fatal day. Kaliyans could pass the poison through generations and instead of just a river or pond they could poison entire universe - air, water, land and outer space. Instead of spitting poison new age Kaliyans in an innocent way throw the poison into waste bins from where it could reach all the corners of the universe. The poison is passed in the form of plastic covers, cups, plates, bottles and in innumerable ways.
· The poison already has a strike rate of approximately 1 billion killings of birds and mammals per year on land and sea.
· Many animals ingest plastic bags, mistaking them for food, and therefore die. These animals suffer a painful death, the plastic wraps around their intestines or they choke to death And worse, the ingested plastic bag remains intact even after the death and decomposition of the animal. Thus, it lies around in the landscape where another victim may ingest it.
In the case of humans the statistics are still grim. The more invisible and ubiquitous the pollution, the more it could enter inside humans and severely disrupt gene activity. Poison is capable to attack all internal systems of human beings and cause serious ailments including cancer. The fact that these toxins will not cause violent and immediate reactions is helping Kaliyans to have their way with ease.
By burning disposable plastics, Kaliyans have already damaged ozone layer and by dumping plastic wastes they have caused irreparable damages to sea. Basic structures supporting life on earth is steadily ruined.
This time Kaliyans have not come alone. To help Kaliyans in their mission, Poothana who tried to breast feed poison to Krishna also have come to the world, in millions, with plastic feeding bottles. Together they are having a great time in the world.
But there are signs from some corners of the world that their game plans are being detected. A Reuters report from Ottawa on April 18th 2008 had stated that Canada intends to become the first country to ban the import and sale of some types of plastic baby bottles because they contain a chemical that the government says could harm infants and toddlers.
These bottles are made with Bisphenol A, which is also used in food and water containers.
Canada's health minister said that Bisphenol A could hinder child development and cited a study which he said showed that overexposure at an early age could cause behavioral and neurological symptoms later in life.
In some corners of the world small groups of people have started campaigning to promote use of eco friendly substitutes like cloth bags.
Inspite of these minor setbacks Kaliyans and Poothanas are confident that, before the world wakes up to act, they may be able to make unstoppable progress in their mission to kill life on earth, the only planet where life exists in the universe.
